Mounties announce Peter Fraser as new Head Football Coach
SACKVILLE, NB 鈥 痳豆TV视频 is pleased to announce that New Brunswick native Peter Fraser is the new Head Coach of the Mounties Football Program.
Fraser, who grew up in Oromocto, NB, comes to the Mounties with 18 years of progressive coaching experience and 11 years at the U SPORTS level. Most recently, Fraser was the Defensive Coordinator and Associate Head Coach of the University of Windsor Lancers football program.
Prior to that, he spent eight seasons with the Acadia Axemen (2009-2016) where he served in many different capacities with its program. At the time of his departure, Fraser was the Associate Head Coach of the Axemen and Special Teams coordinator, leading all recruiting efforts for the program. Fraser began his U SPORTS football coaching career as an assistant coach with the McGill Redmen (2007-2008).

As a player, Fraser was an defensive lineman with the Ottawa GeeGees in 1998 and 1999 before an injury cut short his playing days. Prior to playing with Ottawa, Fraser played at the CEGEP level with John Abbott College in Montreal. Peter graduated from University of Ottawa with a B.S.S. and is a fully certified Level III NCCP football coach.

In addition to his coaching experience at the U SPORTS level, Fraser interned in 2015 and 2016 with the CFL鈥檚 Saskatchewan Roughriders. Fraser also served as Defensive Coordinator for Team Nova Scotia at the Canada Cup in 2012, 2013 and 2015.
The Mounties won back-to-back AUS championships in 2013 and 2014. The Mounties played in the AUS Championship game (Loney Bowl) for four consecutive years from 2013-2016 before narrowly missing the playoffs in 2017 with a 4-4 record.
