Mount Allison Drama program moves rehearsals, productions online for Fall 2020 term
The Mount Allison Drama Studies program is committed to the artistic growth, community building, and student expression that have always been a hallmark of the University鈥檚 Motyer-Fancy Theatre. While there is much uncertainty about what the upcoming school year will look like, one thing is certain: students and faculty members will be putting on plays that are as dynamic and ground-breaking as ever.

鈥淚n order to ensure that classes and productions can move forward no matter what, the fall season will include two shows with entirely online rehearsals and performances,鈥 says Mount Allison鈥檚 director of drama Dr. Sarah Fanning.

Directed by Professor Cordula Quint and Crake Fellow Neil Silcox, the Fall 2020 shows will offer the opportunity for Mount Allison students to take part from wherever they are, and for friends and family from across the street and around the world to get a first-hand look at the work done at Mount A. And of course, Tintamarre, Mount Allison鈥檚 bilingual theatre troupe, will be building an original script in the fall term for delivery online 鈥 its 49th show!

More details about the fall season will be coming in the next few weeks. And while drama faculty can鈥檛 say exactly what shape the winter season will take, they can say this with certainty: more exciting, innovative shows will be happening.

鈥淪o, dust off your makeup kit, brush those Doritos-crumbs off your drafting table, and find that roll of spike tape you swiped in high school鈥攚e are going to need adventurous actors, designers, and crew to help us prove that no matter what happens in the world, art will get us through,鈥 says Fanning.

In addition to Drama courses, a number of 痳豆TV视频 classes will be offered using different delivery formats for the Fall 2020 academic term. These include scheduled and unscheduled classes online as well as on-campus offerings. See for additional information.
