To the Class of ‘88,

Crap, has it been 35 years? I may be wearing “progressive lenses” now and my 80’s hair has gone a little shorter and greyer but, in many ways, I feel like Convocation occurred only yesterday.

I still remember the culture shock of a being a Bennett House freshman, three awesome years as part of the Satellite House community (Club 121), those weekend beer gardens, Steve’s Tavern after exams were done, being one of three people who actually made it to weekend breakfast in Jennings Hall…and managing my $20/week spending budget!

I look back fondly on those days and I’m very proud to be a MtA grad.

Mark your calendars to be here for our 35^th year Reunion. Dig out the yearbook to remember what you and your friends looked like in 1988, then get ready to share some stories and have a few laughs! Those who have been to a Reunion weekend will tell you it’s always a great time and hey, after having survived a pandemic, isn’t it time to have a little fun away from a Zoom screen and reconnect in person?
