Orientation 2015
About 700 students were welcomed to the Mount Allison and Sackville neighbourhood in annual Orientation activities this fall.
Highlights this year included the Commencement address by Scott Vaughan (鈥77), President of the International Institute for Sustainable Development; Shinerama鈥檚 Shine Day in support of Cystic Fibrosis Canada; and the Welcome Corn Boil, held by the Town of Sackville at the Farmers Market.
鈥淥rientation week was rewarding as I got to see both the apprehension and excitement of incoming students and the enthusiasm of upper-year students who wanted to welcome new students and pass on their experiences to another class,鈥 says Justin McKiel, this year鈥檚 orientation chair.
鈥淯ltimately, Orientation is primarily run by students, for students, and I think that makes it a really rewarding series of events for all those involved.鈥
