Amanda Wynne Ellis Award

Award established by friends and family

The Amanda Wynne Ellis Award was established this year by friends and family of Amanda Ellis (’00), who passed away tragically in February 2019.

Amanda received her BSc and BA from Mount Allison before earning her law degree from Dalhousie University. She was known as a spirited Allisonian, living in Bigelow House, working at the Tantramar Club (the Pub), conducting summer research, and serving as a Life Class Officer.

The Amanda Wynne Ellis Award will be given to a student(s) from Alberta with preference for those studying science, beginning in 2020-21.

This endowed fund will provide financial assistance to both current and future students, honouring Amanda’s connections to Sackville and Mount Allison in perpetuity.
