Highlight: The quality of the guidance and support provided by our faculty members is unique across post-secondary institutions. My professors were always accessible, dedicated, and excited to share in our passion for our work.

  • MtA鈥檚 India Shastri Exchange program participant
  • Global Brigades Inc., monitoring and evaluation developer, Tegucigalpa, Honduras
  • Canada World Youth, project supervisor for two different international youth exchange programs focused on experiential education around Food Security and Sustainability, Gender Equity & Governance, and Public Health. (i.e. Honduras-Nicaragua-Ontario; and Moncton-Ghana-Peru)

Project: Legacy effects of DDT on Cladoceran assemblages from north-central New Brunswick lakes

Supervisor: Dr. Josh Kurek

Highlight: Working for Dr. Kurek as a bio-monitoring assistant after my second year. I sampled dozens of lakes across the New Brunswick landscape. Other highlights included the numerous opportunities I had to present my honours research at conferences in Ontario, Quebec, and New Brunswick.

Since MtA:

  • Summer 2017: sampled lakes throughout Ontario and Quebec with the NSERC Lake Pulse Network
  • September 2017: started a master鈥檚 degree in biology at McGill University with Dr. Irene Gregory-Eaves. I am studying cyanobacteria distribution and dynamics across Canadian lakes with the Lake Pulse Network.
